Sign of the times

Any self-respecting "town" needs a welcome sign, and Kirkwood is getting a stellar one.

Thanks to funding from the KNO and the Kirkwood Business Owners Association, the new sign -- details here -- may go up as early as January, if the Atlanta City Council OK's it. It'll stand in the traffic island by the gas station.

The KBOA is also planning to put up directional signs to guide people to the business district, also in the same style, says KBOA president John Benthal.
